Chapter 9 - Logan Wasn’t AloneThe rear-door event changed everything.

No badge.

No name.

Just a timestamp.

2:26 a.m.

Logan didn’t leave until 2:31.

Frank confronted him.

“You were inside while somebody opened that door.”

“I didn’t see anyone.”

“Where were you?”

“In the office.”

Mason checked the printer history.

At 2:17, seventeen pages had been printed.

Payroll reports.

Sponsor projections.

Vendor balances.

For the first time, Logan’s claim about being there for financial records had evidence behind it.

Frank hated that the simplest theory was falling apart.

Then Mason noticed a missing tool.

A compact brake-line cutter.

Normally it hung in a labeled slot on the service cart.

It was gone.

Dean remembered another detail.

Two days before the crash, Logan had ordered a temporary garage credential.

“For who?” Frank asked.

Logan hesitated.

“Evan Bennett.”

Rachel stared.

Evan Bennett worked for Bennett Performance.

A competing race team.

And only months earlier, Bennett had tried to recruit Rachel.

Frank turned toward Logan.

“You gave a competitor access to your garage?”

May you like

Logan said nothing.

That silence answered enough.
