Evan acknowledged the secret meeting but denied touching Rachel’s car.
There was no camera covering the exact race bay.
The missing line cutter remained missing.
And fingerprints on the car were useless because too many mechanics had handled it.
Then another uncomfortable fact emerged.
Rachel had spoken directly to Evan Bennett three weeks earlier.
He had offered her a driving position.
Frank looked at her.
“Did Logan know?”
“No.”
That expanded the motive problem.
If Rachel left Harwood Racing, Bennett could gain both a driver and leverage over Logan’s struggling team.
If Rachel suffered a serious crash, Harwood Racing could lose value even faster.
Still, none of it proved Bennett had ordered sabotage.
Then Mason said something important.
“We keep asking who benefits.”
Frank looked at him.
“What should we be asking?”
Mason stared at the damaged car.
“Who knew exactly where to cut that line so it might look like normal failure?”
That list was shorter.
Very short.
And one name immediately rose to the top.
