Chapter 10 - Logan’s Real SecretLogan finally admitted what he had been hiding.

He wasn’t trying to sabotage Rachel.

He was trying to sell part of Harwood Racing.

Secretly.

Bennett Performance had been discussing an investment because Logan’s team was running out of cash.

Rachel stared at her husband.

“You were selling my team behind my back?”

“I was trying to save it.”

“You gave Bennett access.”

“To the financials.”

“Through the garage where my car was sitting.”

Logan looked away.

Frank suddenly understood several earlier clues.

Logan wanted to know whether Rachel would leave because her departure would reduce the team’s value.

He printed her email because Caldwell might follow her.

And he entered the garage before dawn because Evan Bennett was coming to inspect the company’s finances privately.

Rachel asked the critical question.

“Was Evan there at 2:26?”

Logan hesitated.

Then nodded.

“Yes.”

Frank stepped closer.

“You lied when you said you didn’t see anyone.”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“If the crew knew I was negotiating with Bennett, the deal was dead.”

“Did Evan walk past Rachel’s car?”

“Yes.”

“Could he have cut the line?”

Logan swallowed.

“I don’t know.”

For the first time, Frank believed him.

That was worse.

Because now a competitor had been standing inside the garage minutes before Rachel’s car was sabotaged.
