Chapter 4 - Frank Refused to Choose a Villain Too EarlyFrank wanted to confront Logan immediately.
Mason stopped him.
“We start accusing people before we know anything, we’ll ruin the investigation.”
Frank hated the advice.
Mostly because Mason was right.
They returned to the garage.
Tyler was organizing equipment near Rachel’s wrecked car.
Frank placed the printed email on the workbench.
“You use Mason’s computer?”
Tyler frowned.
“Sometimes.”
“Yesterday?”
“No.”
“Did you see anyone in the office?”
Tyler hesitated.
“Logan.”
Frank watched his face.
“Did you see him print this?”
“No.”
“Then don’t guess.”
Tyler nodded.
Inside the office, Mason checked the printer area.
A sponsor schedule had been left underneath several papers.
On the back, in Logan’s handwriting, was one line:
Rachel leaves, Caldwell leaves. Then we’re done.
Frank stared at it.
Logan clearly believed Rachel’s departure could destroy the team financially.
That gave him motive to control her career.
But motive wasn’t proof of attempted sabotage.
Then Rachel called.
Her voice was tight.
“Dad, Logan just told me something.”
“What?”
“He says he never went near my car last night.”
Frank looked at Mason.

The badge log said Logan had entered the garage.
Now Logan was already lying about what happened there.
