The review took three weeks. Statements from Tessa, Seth, two servers, and the lenders aligned without one decisive fact. Nolan had hidden losses from the dining wing, pressured Maren to refill payroll, and sought refinancing that placed vendor debt under her guarantee. Blythe knew the numbers and designed the gala to force his conduct into view. Maren agreed to provoke words, not violence, and hid that choice. Judith had financed the expansion and urged silence after Nolan's first threat. Nolan chose to grab Maren and stalk her workplace. The insurer refused to cover him as manager. Investors suspended him and hired an operator while Hale House entered restructuring. Shifts were cut, but health coverage continued. Maren filed for separation and received a temporary no-contact order. Blythe left control. Judith's guarantee remained, now subject to a repayment plan. No one kept the restaurant untouched. No one kept innocence. At the meeting, Nolan's chair sat empty, and nobody moved it.
