CHAPTER 7

CHAPTER 7 - WATCH CLOSELY
The next morning, Sabrina woke up to thirteen missed calls, four interview requests, and one message from Celeste.
It said only: Can I come over?
Sabrina stared at it for almost ten minutes before answering.
Yes.
Celeste arrived at noon wearing no makeup, sunglasses in her hand, and the face of someone who had not slept. For the first time in years, she looked less like a brand and more like Sabrina’s daughter.
She stood in the doorway of the apartment.
“I didn’t know,” Celeste whispered.
Sabrina wanted to say, You should have asked.
She wanted to say, You believed him too easily.
Instead, she stepped aside and let her in.
They sat by the vanity table where the livestream had happened. The ring light was off now. The apartment looked smaller in daylight, softer, real.
Celeste touched the old photograph with trembling fingers.
“I said terrible things to you.”
“Yes,” Sabrina said.
“I let him erase you.”
Sabrina took a slow breath. “You were a child when he started.”
“I’m not a child now.”
That was the first honest thing Celeste had said in years.
By the end of the week, Haven & Hart’s board opened an internal investigation. Victor resigned before they could remove him. Celeste made a public statement crediting Sabrina as the original creator and co-founder. It was not perfect. Nothing that broken ever repairs cleanly.
But it was a beginning.
A month later, Sabrina went live again.
This time, three hundred thousand people were waiting before she even touched the bracelet.
She sat in the same velvet chair, silver-blonde hair glowing under the soft light, calm as ever.
Mia stood behind the camera, smiling.
Sabrina looked into the lens.
“For every woman who was told her time had passed,” she said, “watch closely.”
Then she smiled.
May you like
Not because the world had finally seen her.
Because she had finally stopped hiding.
